Out of the Ashes is a documentary on the Afghan cricket team's remarkable efforts to get to the World Cup. For one year, with unrestricted access, we have followed the team. We have travelled to the refugee camps of Peshawar, where they learnt the game, to their practice sessions in Kabul and on to qualifying tournaments in Jersey, Tanzania and Argentina. April sees the Afghans heading to South Africa about to embark on the most important tournament of their lives, the ICC World Cup Qualifying Round.
