Dutch and ANA fighting for Afghanistan Part 2

    • Footage shot by Gerben van Es, AVDD Broadcasted by NOS August 20 2007. A police checkpoint near Chora called Kala Kala, or K2 as the Dutch call it, has been overrun by taliban. A Dutch mechanised infantry unit and a Afghan unit lead by a Dutch OMLT is sent in to take it back. The footage shown in this vid is from a DoD Photographer/Cameraman that accompanied the Dutch OMLT. Some parts are cut off because the cameraman had to take up his weapon. This video does not have a lot of direct contacts in it but it gives a good insight in the training of Afghan soldiers that will eventually have to take over from NATO. Another interesting thing is the terrain that is being fought over, jungle like environments is probably not something a lot of people will think of when they think of Afghanistan.
